That’s pretty much why I don’t play ptb these days, spending blood points is such a chore in the live version of the game. Why the hell would I want to do it in a test build ? If they made the characters p3 by default I might be more inclined to play

Let’s be honest, it’s a “hype server”.
A place where CC can hype the new content before it comes out. But there aren’t enough CCs to play matches so they allow PC players to “test” as well.
It feels just like “War Thunder” Dev server that you can play on 2-3 weeks before a mayor patch with 5x earnings. (That dose not transfer back to live)
Very rarely do any of these companies change none CC complaints about either game. :/
They sometimes post a survey that feels like it gets posted to a shredder when you press send.
I kind of just appreciate the fact that we get a PTB in the first place. I've never heard of a game that let's it's players actually test new things out like this (never heard of =/= doesn't exist)
Yes, there are A LOT of issues with it and it could definitely be better but I'm still grateful that BHVR cares at least a little bit
In my experience the PTB's aren't as atrocious as it is right now, I just think the severity is compounted by 2v8. What I do think is a major contributor to long queue times is people messing around in PTB, I get it's not serious but what's the point of a "Test Build" for future content if you're not interacting with the new content besides survivor boops. I agree the BP thing sucks but I don't care for change bc I feel like if people were able to make full builds for PTB killers people on twitter would meltdown for an insane perk/build combo even tho the vanilla mechanic that causes it will probably change in live dbd
I feel the queue times so hard. It took me 20 minutes for one killer game, i know it was 20 bc i timed it during my stream
Before I tried the PTB for the first time, I thought we all have the addons and perks altogether. Apparently that is not the case for some reason, don’t see the point of leveling up in there

The PTB is anyway nothing more than further advertisement and hype generation. Almost never has feedback from the PTB made it 100% to live. Either BHVR completely ignores feedback or they only go half way with the suggestions. Ive stopped playing the PTB since the horrible UB basekit idea.
I'd do customs in the ptb with you, but I work morning so I couldnt play until mid afternoon 😢. If you put out a call to your community a day or two before, you could probably drum up a 4man to help you out tho.

I'm sure you know this but you should play custom games in the ptb with bots because then you test all the add ons and perks without investing 6 hours into getting bloodpoints
They need to make the ptb an accessible mode from other platforms besides pc. So that we can see how stuff works on console as well.
Personaly i don't like ptb for focusing on balancing.
PTB not represent entire live community.
I wait until release and than try out.

Many games on console actually give you ptb of their games as well as the main game all at once, it would not be much harder to do for Dead by daylight since you only have to push the ptb version of the game on there anyways.

My personal problem with the PTB is that I don't have the internet speed to redownload the game twice. I didn't even know they don't give BP for everyone in the PTB. That's silly
Ya know, if they expanded the ptb to other platforms, maybe more people would play it.
I started on console cause my pc didn't even have the minimum requirements to download the game so I couldn't play the ptb for yrs. Then after I had a friend help me build a better pc i would have had to re-buy and lvl every char all over and so that was a deffinitly not. Then after 8 yrs they finally decided to add cross play and cross progression so I could switch to pc without restarting the game. So the Castlevania ptb was the 1st I could do.
I agree on everything you said. It's hard to get a full team of friends to play custume games or takes an eternity to get into an actually match. I was just lucky enough to have enough bp to get Dracula lvled up enough to test all the stuff although in my personal opinion, his perks suck.
All they need to do about testing the chars is to give a free ammount to get to prestige 3 for all chars in the current chapter they are testing. Big deal if it's more than 2mill bp, we can't take the bp back to the base game so it wouldn't be breaking cap in the base game if we break it on a week long tempery version of the game.
