  1. From what I can tell, Outlast Trials isn't going to be like DBD so I haven't included it in this list, but obviously its a game to check out in 2022!

  2. They all look like boring rip-offs of things we already have because companies want to capitalize on this trend. They want to make a quick buck, not make a good game.

The only reason people say they like these games is the noval factor, and that it's just not dbd.

All these games are another case of "[insert game here] IS THE [INSERT GAME HERE]-KILLER!!" but it never is. None of these games is going to "kill" dbd.
But ok, buy product and get excited for next product, I guess.

  3. I don’t care about Dead by Daylight anymore. Stupid company who’s going for financial profits only and not carrying at all about their community. You could say that they support the LGBTQ+ community, but that’s just a blatant lie – they just lie to you and use big streamers to make you believe they support LGBTQ+. But all what they want from ya is your money. Now after the game is full of cheaters, autonome cheating bots, toxic persons and a selfish company, I’m going to be pretty much done with DBD. The game is literally dead for me and highly suggest you to do it too. I also told them in the current survey that Patrick is stupid and DBD is no ice hockey game. 😂

  4. None of these can dethrone DBD. Most aren't even 1v4. And how are you gonna include VHS when it's been down for 40+ days lmao. Someone still bitter they lost their twitch shirt

  5. Really only TCM has potential to do much here. Carnival Hunt looks cool, good vibes. Though without knowing gameplay, hard to say. I do like what ive seen of that world however.

  6. texas chainsaw massacre is the one im mostly interested in. Hoping it's gonna be good. A little worried though, as their last game which was Predator, was pretty bad…

  7. None of these feel like a good replacement for DBD because they are all better versions of what DBD has become and not what it was originally or was meant to be. The common theme among all these games is that everything is very balanced between the two sides. The good guys and bad guys both have ways of doing damage, they each get to be strong for a certain part of the match and have to be weak for a certain part of the match. DBD wasn't supposed to be a fair fight against the monster. You were supposed to be going up against the giants of the horror genre, invincible nightmares with stellar success rates. You're supposed to scared and feel like survival is unlikely. Now the game is designed as if half the survivors getting away should be the minimum instead of the average. And that is exactly the same mindset I see in all of these games. Will they be better than DBD? Maybe. But none of them will be, or could be, a better DBD.

  8. I know for some of these we yet don't have gameplay footage (texas, carnival), but out of all of these I only think VHS has a shot. Midnight is a fun party game, I do recommend it, but it doesnt have longevity. I think ghostbusters will be an even more limited Midnight ghost hunt, Evil dead from what I got to see from ppl leaking seems clunky and like it gets boring fast. Theres few games with the lvl of polish and afterthought into progressions and systems to last the long haul

  9. The only reason I played DBD is because of the licensed killers. I found it interesting seeing all the iconic killers in one game. So, I'm not sure if i'll enjoy Texas Chainsaw Massacre, hope i'm wrong

  10. Something that I have noticed between Overwatch and Dead By Daylight is that both of their devs neglect their game when it has so much potential… It's ashame though, they're definitely not going to change anything if people still play. Doesn't matter if it's 30,000 or 60,000 in DBD's case… People still play the game in general, and that's good enough for Behavior. I don't care if DBD is "dethroned" or not, I just want to have fun playing DBD…

  11. Whether these games dethrone it or not, something needs to, BHVR have become so complacent in their position, healthy competition is a must.

Very much looking forward to The Evil Dead game, I like VHS but some of it's mechanics, namely the disruption mechanic (a teammate can get hit near you and you're punished for it) don't gel with me but hopefully they work out some of the kinks.

  12. all these asymetricals coming out are probably why the devs decided to update their game lmao Legion and Ghost face getting buffed, COH nerfed, etc they are losing players yeah I can safely say they are scared.

Out of all the games though I feel like VHS is gonna be the top competitor for DBD mostly because the devs actually take care of their game, they don't seem like they are gonna put up with bullshit like hackers, imbalancing the game and only focusing on money, etc it really seems like these guys are gonna destroy dbd especially if the devs of DBD don't get there reers in gear, and fix their game soon VHS will slowly kill it over it.

  13. Nothing will dethrone DbD within the next 5 years. We’ve seen this with Hide Or Die, Last Year, Deceit, F13, and every other asymmetrical Multiplayer horror game. All the games that attempt to tackle the genera end up taking too many aspects from DbD and putting it in the game. This game genera is a lost cause and DbD will be the only game UNTIL it’s graphics become so outdated, it’s gameplay becomes outdated, no matter how many updates the devs put out they can’t compete with the current gaming market, only then will DbD be dethroned.

  14. I've seen gameplay of VSH and I honestly can't get over the perfect 'cat and mouse' gameplay they've got going on. If they can get the balance down right and introduce new weapons every once in a while, I can see the game going far.

  15. I am going to play the Leatherface game as soon as it comes out because I absolutely loved Friday 13th I even still sometimes play the offline bots or the online mode when there's ever a game but I also will love Leatherface so if it's going to play similar to Friday 13th I am absolutely playing that game Non-Stop

  16. I started playing DBD from January 2022 ,came to know about this game through IGN when I was searching for a multiplayer horror game , I'm a mobile DBD player and really in love with this game , this game requires a lot of skill to be the best in the game which is challenging and aslo the best thing . This 4 v 1 asymmetrical horror game is new to me and by luck I came to know about this beautiful horror game just playing survivor for 10 games back to back I believed that this was what I was looking for . In India this game has no strong base of players only handful of people are into this game mostly many of them play PUbG and COC.I'm a survivor main now and I'm heavily addicted and loving DBD a lot ❤️. Playing for only 3 months now I can say that no other multiplayer asymmetrical horror game will come even close to DBD it's one of a kind and a true masterpiece , DBD is "Emotion" which only hardcore long playing DBD players will know .

  17. anything could literally replace dbd at this point they have paid so little attention to the actual problems and spent so much time milking the game for cash. When something comes out that isn't total trash, they will watch even more players leave than already have.

  18. I've been feeling pretty excited for VHS since streamers started playing it. I'm just hoping the devs are also strengthening the game from hackers and what not considering it seem like it's going to be a free game? So there's nothing stopping hackers from creating new accounts continuously.
Midnight Ghost hunt looks really cool but apparently there are problems with gameplay and no downsides to playing hunters. Might consider getting it if they make the game a little more balanced as the concept seem really cool.
Also love the art and creepy look to Carnival Hunt, can't way to see actual gameplay of it!
