Freddy needs a rework, i'm well awake this isn't much of a hot take, but how do you feel about dream object as his power (gens, pallets, windows, etc.) freddy should be really scary, i mean he sends you to another world.
Personally, I don’t want voice lines for existing original characters as I can see myself getting annoyed by them and I don’t want to be put off the characters I love
I think Trapper can be really good against solo queue survivors and really annoying to play against but he’s definitely not that strong. I don’t think he’s the worst killer in the game though just because he actually has some strong anti-loop.
Camping and tunneling is viable and shouldn’t be frowned upon
Hot Take: I really think behavior should continue this trend of not always including horror focused characters and create new variety with this mindset. Think about it, one of the things the devs think of that make the game scary is the fear of the unknown. But if you actually included characters from other forms of media you NEVER expected, that creates a feeling of uncertainty and you can’t expect what kind of killer you would go up against especially if you aren’t familiar with them or you don’t know about their powers. It would definitely make a shift in the game’s future.
Hot-take: Dredge is 100% better than people say, his anti loop is also a lot better than people say. Yes locker rng can hinder him but if you know how to get enough value from his remnant tp it’s not that bad at all. Does not deserve the disrespect that is high c teir to B teir
My hot take is that Billy’s buff was great and all but my guy gets his chainsaw back way too fast, he can instantly recover from a missed chainsaw attack and I feel it’s unfair when leatherface has a a longer cool down for his. I believe Billy’s is 2.7 if he lands an attack, 2.5 if he misses whereas Leatherface is 4 seconds per token. With billy it just feels like he can chainsaw a survivor then immediately chainsaw another if needed, or if he misses can just immediately chainsaw again. Not saying to gut the guy fully but at least make it a tiny bit longer.
calling Rpd worse than lerys or midwich is crazy considering EVERY ROOM IN RPD IS UNIQUE hard to get lost when theres only 2 offices, 2 bathrooms, stars office, rooftop, press room, courtyard, unicorn room, library. like yall had a point before. but at this point i think most players are too stubborn to just learn the map
Hot take: smash hit is the best exhaustion perk because if the killer realizes you have this you can play more greedy on pallets
My hot take DBD battlepass (archives) should've kept exclusivity with charms and outfits. You put in all the effort and time to earn them.. but ppl who didn't earn it can buy them instantly in store..😐 might as well call it discount pass..🤦♀️

Hot take: this is an expansion to the “totems should be blocked until the first gen is done” I think the totems should be blocked until the first survivor down instead
Hot take: Killers shouldn't be able to see what items survivors are bringing into the match. I know a lot of killers hate it when survivors last second switch to flashlights, but what else are we meant to do? If we just put flashlights on normally, you just throw on light born, and our whole build gets countered before the game even starts lol.
Imagine if survivors were able to view what build the killer was bringing before the match starts. I bet a lot of killers would complain and want that fixed straight away.
You may not be a fan, but I also agree on the RPD map hot take, i rather enjoy it, i actually hate smaller maps like gideon, lerys is alright i guess, places like wreckers are boring, i do like the unknowns map though (forgotten the name, green something?)
Edit, this is from a killers perspective.
Hot Take: The game is very killer sided, this comes from someone who mainly plays dem dem. How unfair the game is depends on how sweaty you are, but even with no gen regression or tunneling you can win about half your games
My hot take is that NOED should tell the survivors right away that they’re exposed bc I feel that’s by far the most annoying part of the perk. So survivors can play around it instead of it just being an entirely free kill.
Hot take: Dredge is the most terrifying killer to go against, as a dredge main whos faced him myself as a survivor, this stays true to me 😅
Hot Take: I'm All Ears is one of the most useful anti looping perks, better than the likes of Bamboozle and STBFL
Hot Take: Boon Totems should be unable to be relit similar to Hex Totems
Hot take: Make a rework pig, and her traps instead of finishing a gen make it when a survivor gets up and unhook trap activates
I got a couple hot takes..
-dbds balance is completely dependent on the circumstances. If it's soloq its killer sided but with a swf its survivor sided.
-stuff like tombstone piece myers, pigs traps, and sadakos condemned shouldn't be in the game. Getting killed when you dont have a single hook over a mistake that can be pretty hard to avoid just isnt fun. (I hate sadako and her condemned so much)
-windows of opportunity is an AWFUL perk for beginners. You start to rely on that perk and dont bother to learn the loops. But for more experienced loopers it's amazing.
-flashbang is way better than flashlights. The killer wont know ur bringing flashbang and its way more fun to use
-dwight is the best male survivor ♥️
You should get 5 killer avoid slots to guarantee that you don't go against those killers of your choice. I don't like Cenobite, some don't like Legion, others hate the Knight, etc. It would cut down on DCs and matches where you have no fun and are forced to play it out, and it would help Nurse/Spirit players by not getting multiple DCs or giving up instantly, even if you wait a bit longer.
My hot take: Xenomorph is one of the most unfun killers to go against they have guaranteed hits in most cases unless the killer misses. The flamethrowers need to be faster and should be 110 movement speed instead of 115. also shirtless bubba.
My hot take is accessibility should be taken into account when discussing killer strength, if u have to say “well a really good Nurse” that shouldn’t be indicative of a killer’s strength, if only 1% of people can be that “really good Nurse” is she really that good? She’s hard to use especially on console, and without aura reading blinking through walls most of the time gets u nowhere cuz u can’t see where the survivor is, similar situation with Blight and Hillbilly, I honestly think Spirit is stronger in an average game cuz she’s more consistent and easier to use
hot take: stealthy teammates are the worst teammates to get. if someone isn't strong at looping but they at least try, i give them props for it. 90% of the time stealthy teammates have no problem letting you die on hook, not taking chase when everyone else is dead on hook, and often don't take hits for people. worst teammates
My hot take is that whenever a killer gets a powerful perk that’s equally as powerful as a really good survivor perk survivor mains get mad
I definitely think that they should fix it to where an injured survivor can’t get downed during the unhook animation. Currently you would have to time the unhook good so you wouldn’t go down in the middle of the unhooking. Basically make it when the killer hits the injured survivor while unhooking would not go down imo.
Bring back the good ol deadhard damnit!
Hot take: Killers killing and survivors surviving is not toxic (but we already knew that lmaoooooooooo)
My actual hot take: The more I play survivor to complete survivor challenges in the tomes, the more I understand one reason why second chance perks are so popular – it's not protecting you from the killer, it's protecting you from bad solo queue teammates. Sure, if a killer is hard tunneling you then second chance perks will absolutely help you there. But when teammates make bad calls that get you killed, suddenly stacking second chance perks becomes much more understandable.
Hot Take: i miss the old Haddonfield map and should returned back to the way it was😅
about RPD. gonna disagree with you saying rpd is one of the worst maps in the game, first of all, did you mean worst map for killers? or survivors?
it is definately a strong map for survivors, even among the strongest for survivors at the moment. if i dont want the killer to hit me on rpd, they wont, at least not untill after i dropped 5 god pallets in a row. i mean just look at west wing it is literally god pallet after god pallet after god pallet. killers who cant teleport have it super hard on that map because getting from a to b is just super tedious. so if you are huntress you are done, if you are billy you are done, if you are any m1 killer without traps or teleport you are done. even strong killers like blight struggle on that map.
Hot Take: The anti camping bar should always go up in the terrior radius, not only near, and the killers without or with the ability to cloak have a set distance. Is absurd the amount of times rhe killers facecamp 4 meters away and the bar doesn't movee at all. Said this, if the killer is in chase, then the bar should not increase.

the constant feeling of being upset about everything and everyone.
It's a general problem in the dbd community (dbd twitter is another league) that they take the game far too seriously, on both sides, survivor and killer. I think most people who comment on this in an extreme way (yapping) need a thought reset. and maybe you should remember why you are playing a game in the first place. Have fun, alone or in a team, as a survivor but also as a killer. I wish many players would just stop for a moment and think about whether it's even healthy to constantly be upset about such trivial things. just my opinion.
forget perks, someone buff dbd players' spelling abilities 😐
Hot take: dramaturgy is a really underrated exhaustion perk being sort of like a mini on demand sprint burst and being able to give you pretty broken addons like syringes and brand new parts if your lucky enough and even when or if you get exposed a good survivor can play safely until it wears off
My hot take: Trickster's asthetics are awsome (not a fan of kpop, I just love his bright colors) they just have to make him look a bit scarier. His chapter deserves a map too.
