It's really weird that they decided to give him such modern clothes especially because there's such a massive well they could have drawn from for cool medieval outfits seeing as how he was a nobleman not just a peasant woman like the rumors had said.
And even further they could have drawn inspiration from cool fantasy clothes considering how big the new game of thrones season is.
It's so weird that a lot of the survivors have Vigo/blighted cosmetics that lay a good blueprint for dead by daylight. Peace cosmetics
Hearing pixels inner brit come out "mans got a fade" was nice to hear… but for real mans hotter than Liz Trusts twitter. if she has one I dont fucking know
A few things: My guess is that Vittorio adopted a more modern look because he identifies more with survivors who came from a more “civilized” future, and I have a big question question about the knight; why did he think Vittorio’s “paradise” would be something he would want?
Shouldn't he be able to talk then? As I thought if you accidentally chose to go to the Entity's realm, you retained the ability to speak. As isent that why every survivor can hear Ash talk?
His look could have been a purple cosmetic and they could have given him a more old school look.
Or while studying observers and observer disliked the meddling and time traveled him to modern day where he was stuck for a few years before the entity came in
The argument could be made that Vittorio left the knight to retrieve the stone, knowing a mercenary would resort to violence, on purpose. Vittorio couldn’t think of a peaceful way but didn’t want to give up. So he just denied responsibility, thinking he would get what he wanted in the end. And it blew up in his face.
my first assumption when seeing the survivor without reading his own lore that the playable character is some kind of reincarnation or descendant like, some kind of assassin's creed type shit. my best guess on why he looks the way he does is that he spent so long in the fog that he has bound to run into more modern people and was influenced by them, but that doesn't justify the drippy ass fade. it's hinted in the description of some cosmetics (example, the robbie the rabbit costumes for the legion) that the clothes kinda just.. appear, as some kind of entity intervention. i guess she likes the inhabitants of her pocket dimension to be iced the fuck out but who knows. the way that the fog works outside of the trial is really confusing and requires a lot of suspension of disbelief because it's a video game and there are just some things that are gonna be different to cater to video game design. long story short, just don't think about the lore implications of the in-game cosmetics, your head might explode.
I now know the suffering of the Ace amongst the horny
I don't mind the thirst trap thing myself. It's fully likely BHVR will give him skins more suited to his lore down the line, and just wanted to ensure he sold well enough on release. As painful as it is to admit, when survivors are just basically skins and the games lore has always been somewhat secondary (for most people) being visually appealing will always be the main selling point.
I wish his cosmetics showcased a progression of eras towards what he wears as his default outfit. Have them go from medieval, victorian, then more modern to what his default outfit is. Would make more sense considering in his lore it states he gets his clothes from other survivors, and as someone who has survived for multiple centuries it would make sense for him to have outfits from those eras.
This man asked a MERCENARY to do DIPLOMACY. Ya know a MERCENARY. Someone who's paid by the job was asked to do the slowest approach possible for your own morals. Expecting a MERCENARY to abide by your pacifism.
Love the work Pixel, but it’s okay to slow down and wait on putting out content every now and then. This video feels a bit rushed and a bit everywhere. In fact, I’ve gotten that vibe on some of your most recent DbD related videos as a whole. Maybe let them cook a bit more. There seems to be much more of a spark and willingness in your other genre vids, I find those to be much more enjoyable. Keep up the good work!
I just want to point out how the background gameplay at one point features Survivors with the names gubby, queefgod77, and doctor sex. All in one game. I love DBD.
I feel like the only way to save it save it would've been to have Victorio connected via being the ancestor of the man in his lore. In my eyes. It makes the most sense. I'd even prefer if they do something like Oni and Spirit with the bloodlines. Hell, give us a killer who is the ancestor of a survivor, give us something with substance instead of flat ideas. Give us reasons for these characters to seem modern, give more of a bone rather than stealing clothes from somewhere.
It really wouldn't even be that difficult to keep him as a thirst trap while remaining consistent to his design, I just think BHVR wanted to be incredibly lazy instead unfortunately. Then they could've just made an "modern outfit" as an skin for him.
I don't think it's a big deal really. They can always fill in the gaps to explain how the character has developed. The only thing that is bad imo is the lost opportunity for an actual medieval looking character.
my guess for the reason his whole thing about traversing the entity's realm for years isn't touched upon and that he didn't get any medieval type clothes is because both of those are probably coming with the next tome if the leaks are right. I could be wrong on this but I'm 99% confident that the tome will touch on his years in the fog
I'm sorry I couldn't stop laughing at the wisdom dump stat line because I had a friend that plays wizard and wisdom is their dump stat always and when you said that I said "Oh so a wizard player XP"
When I first saw Vittorio's design without knowing his lore, I thought he was gonna be a Scandinavian rock dilf who's into ancient Nordic runes, vikings and shit. He looks like a guy who would wear a hammer of Thor necklace.
Maybe he could've been that and a history buff who learned about the Observers and got a little too deep into learning about them and now he's in the realm. Almost feels like Bhvr had planned something like that but then thought to make the connection bewteen him and the Knight and didn't have time to make a more appropriate design for a medieval man.
Oh well, medieval Italian dilf who yoinked some modern clothing is pretty cool too.
The amount of people accusing you of saying Haddie is unattractive— girl, she is Not Conventionally Marketable. That’s the difference. BHVR has started pandering to players that want the cutest or sexiest cosmetics, they’ve realized they don’t have to try and create compelling characters, because, well…sometimes a well developed character can’t be Slay Yass, and they see that hurting sales. It’s sad to watch a team start to venture away from what really made their game special and not just Hide And Seek with Consequences :/ All this to say I was really looking forward to this chapter and I’m kinda disappointed
One thing I do like about Vittorios and Tarhos' Lore is that their strengths and flaws are talked about in both stories. So even if you only ever read one of the background stories, you know something about the other person as well. And not just that they worked together or something similar.
Also for me, with how this was once rumored to be an UbiSoft/For Honor Tie In, the middle part of Vittorio's Story feels like an Assassin's Creed Story.
I want to believe that the tome cosmetics for him will be more medieval and would look like how he really looked back then (ignoring his haircut of course, because I want to see a "medieval haircut of a man with a lot of money" lmao)
I wonder if the entity updates the trials every 100 or so years, something tells me that when Vittorio was taken the trials weren't made up of generators
Honestly, when it comes to comparing Vittorio to Haddie, it is very obvious that lore had to stand back to the horniness of the community. Including the marketing that was just going to the cringy sphere. There is literally nothing else that would make sense as a reason. It is really sad, because when I heard what period is he from, first thing that came to my mind was… "then why is he dressed like that?! Did Yun Jin made him new haircut or what?" Vittorio in the lore is different man from the one we have in the game. What we have in the game is just a cash-money tool with a story that is only vaguely resembling him, not an actual character. First sets of cosmetics being the infamous "shirtless" only proves that.
It's really weird that they decided to give him such modern clothes especially because there's such a massive well they could have drawn from for cool medieval outfits seeing as how he was a nobleman not just a peasant woman like the rumors had said.

We get the shirtless dude, give me the stripper character
Wait how is he born in medieval times but has a modern jacket?

A phrase comes to mind here. How could someone be so smart yet so stupid at the same time?
Tbf I think that we the players are the observer
I don't care if he's a thirst trap, I want to kiss him either way. I hold no shame over immediately buying the shirtless skin.
Edit: dilf.
I'm really Hoping Vittorios Tome will cover his life in the Entities realms
Not only would that be unique as a character it would also bridge the gap between lore Vittorio and in game Vittorio
I feel like the only way to save it save it would've been to have Victorio connected via being the ancestor of the man in his lore. In my eyes. It makes the most sense. Just let us who like guys have something from time to time x)
Funny how Vittorio loots other survivor's clothes like he was playing pubg.

they could've made him look like a medieval man and still make him sexy if they weren't cowards

Don’t worry. We got this! (This=bitches!)
I'm waiting for them to say this is david's ancestor lol

Who's this…. Hat-and-Car you talk about in this video, Pixel Bush?
Vittorios lore is ok its not bad could be better tho

I don’t think the hair is a good choice for this character…

I feel like the fog wandering is going to be saved for his tome, but otherwise I agree with the criticism.
