its unfortunate that sadako didn’t turn out to be the chapter we hoped for, but she’s still a cool killer regardless. Please BHVR if you’re reading this remove SBMM or add different modes 🙂

it depends on if dbd would succeed when epic acquired them. people only talk about BR’s success but nobody ever mentions STW which was their original game. reason being epic completely shunned out STW because it wasn’t pulling the same numbers as BR. i feel like if epic did acquire dbd and it didn’t do well it’d suffer the same fate as STW.
People just got used to the game being this shitty, but in other communities it is unacceptable. The devs dont give a shit about the players, they care about the money. Sometimes (literally once in a year) they throw “good changes” at us so we can say that they did something.
A visual overall, new player meshes/models, actual optimization would go a very very long way.
A Prop Hunt game mode would be near perfect.
Wether you like fnaf or not if they added spring trap they’d bring in so many new players myself included
I understand not having access to the statistics and all, but you can’t diagnose all of dbd player trends by just looking at steam. You simply don’t have the full picture, and any blanket statements and assessments looking at just stream statistics will be largely assumptive. Especially with the entirety of the pc population split between three platforms. Four, maybe, not sure how stadia factors into it.
Sbmm is a meh issue. There are a lot of people who don’t like it. There are also many who do. I, outside peak hours, barely notice its effects except for one MAJOR issue. The biggest issue, by far, when discussing the longevity of this game: fucking hackers.
They’re getting ridiculous. And the higher your mmr goes as you play, the more likely you are to encounter them. So, as a reward for your faith and time spent in DbD, you basically get the dubious honor of dealing with these asswipes to the point where bothering to play the game anymore starts to feel pointless.
Encountering hackers feels terrible the first time. More so the second. Guess how it feels when you’ve come across your thirtieth? Fortieth? How about getting them multiple matches in a row? My personal record is three atm, and it made me quit playing for a week.
It’s a huge issue and the fact that bhvr is doing next to nothing to address it despite how often the topic is brought up in forums and by the most topical content creators is not a good sign.
Also, bc I know how some of you ppl are, don’t come at me with the “it’s impossible to stop hacking” shit. It is stupid simple to test for obvious parameters within the match. If a player is exceeding a speed limit, or if they’re floating above the ground, etc etc. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to fix this crap, it just takes incentive, consideration, and work. It’s just a shame that bhvr clearly has none of the above to spare when it comes to the biggest issue killing their game.
Dating sim?
A prop hunt varient would be cool
Honestly, ever since SBMM dropped, I've played less and less.
Why is it called Sadako Rising instead of The Ring or RingU? I don't think people will go out of the way to find out what a Sadako is.
Bhvr needs to get rid of the DC penalty. If you have a hacker problem, I shouldn't be forced to play it. If you are going to insist on having rpd In the game then allow me to dodge it so I can have fun on literally any of other maps.
can we talk about how they tried to buff gearhead but nerfed it (again) in the process? MAKE IT ALL SKILLCHECKS OR AT THE VERY LEAST GOOD INSTEAD OF GREATS!!!!
Skillchecks are already RNG and you could have someone do a whole gen with 0-2 skill checks basically getting no gearhead value and then when they do get a skillcheck they hit a good instead of a great…"welp no perk for you ig." what the actual fuck!? Like…UHHHGG I am just annoyed at how DUMB and STUPID they can be sometimes. It's like they are half drunk sometimes smh.
If fnaf is added I would be so hyped and excited honestly
Fortnite git rid of building for the new season and alot of my friends are joining back
I think if epic or microsoft acquired them we'd be much better off
With the release of this chapter, I officially quit DBD. I saw the decline of this being my only dedicated game to it just being a casual game to now I just do not play it. I don't have fun playing it, and the repetitive staleness has driven me to other games. I don't even care about the cheating, that's just whatever to me, but SBMM I think started the wedge for me. It's sad because this was once the game that I played for hours on end, and now I absolutely do not want to play it.
I'm not sure if Epic getting dbd would do well. Look at the other games they have gotten their hands on.
A guy reacting to a guy reacting to a guy talking about dbd we’re achieving peak reaction
Fnaf doesn’t fit well in my opinion…the rest of the licenses fit and well you know even nemesis fits better. But FNAF… I don’t know man lol just my opinion though…I’d rather get Jason or even pumpkin head
Only thing Elden ring and DBD has in common is that there both c*ck and ball torture expect Elden ring is actually worth the pain
It is generally ahistorical for games to remain popular indefinitely. Of the games that remain relevant, they generally rerelease in some new iteration every year or so. I would also mention that the steam charts snapshot is of the last 10 months. If you were to look at the life of the game, its ebb and flow has been generally consistent for the last couple years. While I agree with your sentiments that the game needs work, with every patch they seem to break things as much as fix, the reality isn't as alarming as they appear to be. And over the next couple years, if the game isn't that much different from what it is now, then yeah, it'll die. But I don't think so.
