  1. I like to have fun in games. That's why i never touch rank in anything team based. And i was screaming at my phone "4%!!!" and he got caught up talking about getting good and stuff 😆

  2. You can still enjoy winning and not like losing without being competitive. Most have varying degrees of competitiveness but those who say they’re not competitive mean they don’t take the game as seriously as those who are competitive. Say if they lost a game they’d most likely react “ah dam, oh well” lol as opposed to a seriously competitive gamer would be shouting at his screen 😂

  3. While I disagree about the competitiveness, imo a lack of competitiveness for me means more that someone doesn't take joy in besting others, still can appreciate both competitive and casual players in games

  4. I actually used to be very competitive when i was younger, didn't know myself very well and didn't believe in myself, so i had to feel rewarded by trying to beat other people in various things. As i grew older, that really started to fade away, as i got more and more confident in my capabilities beating others brings me zero joy as opposed to beating myself and doing better than i did last time, but i just call that determination not competitiveness. Oh well i guess we'll agree to disagree, but observing our society i just can't see how we would be conditioned to be anything but competitive, not the other way around

  5. I feel like some people forget that being competitive =/= not having fun. Like both casual and competitive people can still have fun with whatever game they're playing. They're not mutually exclusive or whatever.

  6. I think it's not so much about enjoying losing, it's about getting used to losing due to conditioning. Either youve not had enough skill or the odds have always just been stacked against you. You get to a point where you just learn to be okay with losing because it's so draining to let it get to you all the time.

  7. It's certainly an interesting philosophical idea that we're inherently competitive, I even don't consider myself too competitive and yeah there's probably a truth that I'm not entirely confident in myself with a lot of things so I prefer to hone my skills while "being in my own lane" so to speak but even then I know I had my time trying really hard at LoL, DbD and Overwatch competitively with mixed results.
