Dead By Daylight posted a developer update on their official forums, detailing what changes we will test in the PTB (Public Test Build) on Steam. These will include the “finisher mori” feature where the last downed survivor will be automatically moried. Let’s look more closely at this “finisher mori” feature and how it may open the game up to new and alternate mories able to be enjoyed by both sides in third person cinematic fashion.

I don't even really play much killer but I think that's a good idea. One game I love playing is Apex and they do the same thing- you have to essentially grind or pay for packs to hopefully be able to 'craft' a kill animation. It is what it is! 😀

Would like mori in 3rd person, gives a chance to see your cosmetics. And if we get multiple mori types, that would be really nice … But I'm sure Demogorgon can't have any …
Like the plague mori looks sick and all, but I don't really like neteases take on her because it doesn't fit her lore. That being said, as I've states in the past as an idv player, netease pulls some multiverse shenanigans and has s ranked skins have new lore and everything.
Having new, selectable mori's would be an amazing thing to get. Fantastic idea. However, I think they should ONLY be earnable through the rift or cost shards. No real money for these (unless it's licensed).
Now that they've basically gutted mori's, I don't know if they could justify selling alternate animations for them. Yeah, the last kill gets one base now, but you need to be able to get a 4K to see it now. Before, it was much easier when you just needed to get one kill. And you could kill EVERYONE too! Now it's just one person at the very end of the game, if you win. It's much easier killing one person than four, and the memento offerings weren't THAT rare. Even the ''Ultra Rare'' items aren't that, that rare. That's not to mention that they completely ruined Rancor for this, but that's another discussion. I really don't think you're going to see the finisher mori nearly as much as people might think, which is a shame, because in acting to make them more common, I believe this will just make them even more rare. Honestly, why couldn't they just make the Cypress Memento basekit and call it a day? I frankly don't see how alternate kill animations would be any more marketable now then before. I had hoped one day that they would make four different mori animations for each and every killer and all of them would be used in a single game if you used an Ebony Memento. That way, there would be a unique animation for each kill for each survivor in the trial for more variety. If they go through with this, and I frankly don't see a universe where they don't, sadly, that'll never happen.
3:30 This is my exact same thought on killer cosmetics. I have never bought an auric cell skin for killer simply because I don't really get to enjoy it like survivor skins which I have bought alot of. If they were way cheaper maybe but to pay $10-$15 for a killer skin stuck in first person? Naaaaah

It kinda makes sense now the devs of adding unbreakable as a base kit. Just so there isn't tons of slugging to hook 3 and always have a mori. It kinda makes the killer work for it. But let's not give them the idea to make Mori's purchasable.. I can't afford to spend more money lol 😂
Im not really looking forward to this. There's the potencial of ending matches super quick with some powerful killers. And the base kit unbreakable is a crazy idea imo. I guess the only thing that explains it is a possible increase in cosmetic sales, so you might be unfortunately right Pualie. Yhanks for all those news! killers should really get killer power cosmetics. its something you can actually see ingame. ig the issue is alot of killers dont have potential for power cosmetics,
ghostie, spirit, etc. dont really have room for them. some like plague and nightmare could only really change fountains and clocks which doesnt really matter for the killer alot.
some like doctor and nurse could only really change the visuals of effects, like changing how the electricy looks and how blinks loook.
but theres a lot of killers like trapper or hillbilly or blight who have an actual power to change. changing blights syringe and blight colour or changing the chainsaw or changing the wraiths bell.
theres a legion one too you miss that one on mobile

You have amazing ideas and i would love to see all of these too. But i think for the first person killer mories they will probably make you as a killer to see the survivor third person POV because thats more easier to be done. I hope im wrong tho. All I can imagine is the game ending Mori teleporting the Killer & Survivor elsewhere to be buggy.
If you’re standing on x tile it’ll teleport you under the map or the Survivor will be completely invisible or some random unimaginable bugs.
Are you gonna cover the new bill cosmetics? I know its only a 21,600 shard cosmetic but i feel bills first cosmetic would be a big deal…i think idk what dbd players like yet.
