The real thing bhvr needs to do is just outright ban all the accounts made for free through that event on the epic store that are sitting dormant. Like if its an acount made from that and it hasn't been used since its almost certainly just waiting to be used for hacking so why not just wipe them all out

Actually had a 4 game hacker streak in a row today. All overt though, people using perks they didn’t have.
Yeah yesterday I was playing a match of dead by daylight and suddenly it was just every single person in the game DCed
The most common hackers I came across was the subtle ones using speed hack to give themselves very slight speed buffs. Like 105-110% for survivors and killers moving like 120-125%.
Was much easier to notice against the people playing 110% killers moving much faster than normal though.
I play a lot of death slinger so I know his normal speed, some of these guys were moving much faster before they could have possibly even gotten in chase let alone start getting bloodlust stacks.

I've been seeing a lot of DCs in the past week more than never. Is it because they get banned mid game?
According to the Devs, hackers are still customers. I doubt it's a coincidence that people are leaving this game in droves and BHVR suddenly decided it needed a fresh round of cash.
To be honest, this is kind of bittersweet. Ive owned and been playing dbd since release, own 9 dlcs. I feel utterly disrespected by the grind for perks, and how i feel locked out of truly having a good time because of the new perks i dont have. every dlc release just widens the gap. BHVR dont dev well enough to warrant me instabuying their dogshit DLC (that is usually someone elses IP anyway meaning they do even less dev work). Ive been genuinely considering buying a cheat engine just to unlock all the perks, then uninstall it. this grind is a slap in the face and frankly, i dont know why i should play into it or their bullshit little battlepass. glad the speedhackers got banned, or whatever. at least they were having fun.
Hey Choy I was just streaming literally on Sunday (4.17.22) and caught a blatant hacker on DBD. Feel free to clip it and use it if you want. The live stream Is on this youtube channel. The hacker was using A variety of perks. Healing in 5 seconds even though she had a flashlight in her hand, speeding up during chases and going faster than me, flashlight through floors/walls and anywhere on the map, flashlight blinds were literally like nearly 15 seconds. It was ridiculous. I’m sorry I couldn’t clip it or anything , I have just been too busy. The time stamp is 2:31:00, that is when the match started. Again feel free to clip it and use it if you like.

About alt accounts, i read that steam records your hardware info and links it to your banned account, so even if you switch accounts if steam notices same hardware id's it will get automatically banned

It makes my blood boil to listen to Patrick's excuses. 90% of the hacks this game have are not "impossible to prevent". In fact, those hacks (using perks you don't have, performing actions you're not allowed to do, moving faster than you're supposed to) would all become impossible if the bare minimum server checks were performed. Right now we don't have a real "game server" in a way, what we have is a relay server that simply acts as a man in the middle for communication between players. Fixing that would be the best for the health of the game long-term, and would also deal with cheaters in the short-term. They should get on it.
Then again, if the servers have to do something different from shout messages received, they'll certainly have to upgrade, and no the monies…

The harm of giving away free dbd copys on epic is already done and not reversible. Cheaters secured hundreds of accounts.

I got a crazy match where suttle cheaters even disguised as wholesome, saying the game was really fun on the endgame chat and being good sport. If it wasn't because another surv came to the stream to tell me t hey were cheating I would have never known, after watching the vod there were some things that indeed were off
i hope that soon dbd does ip bans so that cheaters just have to buy new software to cheat again

Bull fuckin shit there’s still cheaters; I literally faced 2 in my last 12 matches
It clearly didnt work, just vsed a blatantly esping spirit with all achievements unlocked on same date same time, not even trying to be subtle, he had 500 hours on the game 2 previous steam bans and STILL isnt banned, I made a report ticket but that will probably only be answered in a few weeks time knowing the devs
