  1. On one hand, making a twisted version of the Nostromo alarm his chase music is a nice reference.

On the other hand, it's jarring and is just a 2 seconds loop of a washing machine about to break with a faint alarm in the background.

How the hell did we go from bangers like Wesker's and Nemesis's themes to this? Ever since Wesker it's been pretty weak in terms of music (also in Killer design until Xeno, which checks out).

  2. They perfectly catched the atmosphere of the deadly universal unkown, although, I do wish that the meters would have a bit more, especially the 8 meter terror radius.

The and there is this sound in the chase that should be a lot more quiet to not completly dominate the music. It's like this whining, or idk how to properly describe the sound itself, but it should be the part of the atmosphere, rather then the tension. Make it more quiet, and make the faster paced instruments louder. Or hell, I think they could still add a bit into it.

And also, make it less repitative so it's a lot more enjoyable.

  3. i like the proximity music a lot but i feel the chase portion has so little variety. i get it’s supposed to be similar to the nostromo alarm sound despite its higher pitch and less synthesizing. it really just sounds like a two second loop and gets irritating after a minute.

  4. gonna be controversial.

not EVERY chase music needs to be some 10/10 track.

its "music" from when youre literally about to be murdered.

its supposed to be anxiety provoking and fitting for the character like, not EVERYTHING needs to be legion or wesker level

most wont seem like music youd listen to daily. and those ONLY did because that fit the characters theme with legion being notorious for rock and weskers music being based on music from RE5,

Xenos music is supposed to be the alarm from nostromo, thats the point. it fits the character. now imagine xeno with legions music.

most of the communitys got chase music all wrong.

  5. idk about y'all but this chase music is FIRE to me
I like how it gradually gets more higher pitched (the wiper type sound btw)
And being in CHASE with that thing while hearing that, gah dayum

  6. Currently a lot of complaints about this on the DBD forum but I actually really like this. Not only is it reminiscent of Alien, it's also very effectively spooky and discomforting. I haven't played the PTB yet but I hope they wind up keeping this, it's one of the few killer themes that actually strikes me as effectively frightening.

  7. I am so disappointed, yes, this is my favorite horror film and this is the alarm system from Nostromo, but god no, this is very buggy killer and chase music is very repetitive. I feel like chase music in last 3 chapters was written by another composer. Terror radius as always amazing, btw. But I'll never believe that this chase music was written by the same person as Albert's one. Its awful and contains only two samples(?)

  8. I might be the only one hears it but for some reason when i first listened to it, it sounds like a girl or something repeating "La loo" sometimes "la loo ting". As I listen to it more now it can also sound like "now you", "not you", "what you think", "not the thing". Think it's gonna drive me insane when I play alien. I can hear it as a siren for a bit but then my brain says no you don't. Kinda sounds a bit like a sort of rave song to me.

  9. Dbd players r super cringe like first ghost face chase was the washing machine but if you go back to the comments you’ll see those same people wanting it back and missing it. This chase is perfect if you watched the movie
