How To Not Leak Your IP in Dead by Daylight

n this video, we discuss how to avoid the Dead by Daylight IP leak on Steam. While the leak only affects the Steam version of the game, there is a way to sync progress between Epic and Steam using the website https://account.bhvr.com/account/my-account
We recommend playing on the Epic Games Store while the leak persists, as the game is currently only $10 on the platform. Additionally, you can copy your Steam configuration by following the steps outlined in the video and renaming the copied folder “EGS.” This will allow you to play the game on Epic with the same progress as your Steam account, and any progress made on Epic will transfer back to Steam. If you are a streamer, this is a great workaround to avoid exposing your IP address while playing Dead by Daylight.

  1. i remember seeing somewhere that DbD from Epic is a lot more vulnerable then the Steam version. If anyone has the link to that discussion i would like to take another look.

  2. The fact that some people take time to do this to others is just sad and stupid. This is the problem tho with dbd community in general. Trying not to have fun but ruin others'. These guys just take it a step further. I cant understand their mindset… If thats a thing about them

  3. That's what you get with a game of early access quality that's has the popularity of a triple AAA title. Dead By Daylight's held together with duct tape and bubblegum.

  4. isn't this like the 3rd time DBD players can be ddosed? Why does BHVR still add bugs that allow clients to see ips of other players? Just only ever keep the player's ips on the server

  5. Here's another option:
don't actually play a game who's devs are so preoccupied in making shitty dlcs and not fixing critical security hole
    at least until it's fixed

  6. Definitely not gonna buy anything on epic lol. That’s barely a solution considering how many more issues they have with their service.

That’s like jumping ship from a ship that’s under attack to a ship that’s already in the process of sinking.

  7. Simple fix to the hacker problem, take the EPS players out of cross play to deal with all the free accounts that purchased the game when it was free or discounted and alleviate the rest of the community from a huge portion of the cheaters.
