My hot take is, survivors are handed way too much information.
Like when any survivor is being chased, gen progress, then were to get chest, cleanse/blessing, healing, and gate progress and yet the killer just gets whatever they're perks give.
It used to be hide and seek like, knowing when a survivor is in chase i think takes away from the killer's power of paranoia.
I feel like it should just show; icon (I can compromise with that) no progression (except downed survivors), health states, and the only 1 you should see being chased is the Obsession like older DBD
If they penalize going next on hook they need to remove dc penalty since the bot is better than no teammate and it's a game in the end if I'm not having fun I'm not playing
My hot take is that devs need to improvise new player experience to get them come back to the game the next day
Filters are cheating WTF the game literally has semi-hacks aura reading in game WTF kind a take did buddy have there.
Hot take (maybe): the race to hatch as last survivor is really kind of lame. Both hope that RNG put the hatch closer to them. Either player stands to have a game lost or won at that point without too much control.
Not even saying I have a solution. I just don't like hatch when I play either side. And sure, I'm going to jump into it as survivor, but if the killer clapped our cheeks all game, its kind of shallow.
The hatch mechanic also encourages you to screw over teammates at times. 😂
My DBD hot take is this: Chaos Shuffle is a bad randomizer and game modifier. I'm tired of the near constant glaze sessions this thing gets when its not open for ques. im convinced the reason why 90% of people like chaos shuffle isn't because they like using new perks, or they like not going against meta perks, its because they like randomly getting meta perks while the other side doesn't thanks to RNG. It's basically a pseudo-competitive mode, because of how much people unironically sweat in there, abusing the BP incentives like all events, and then the community just turns a blind eye to it. like how many times do i have to get a eerie offering as killer or see a iri-tag blight with crow as survivor and go: "well this is the casual gamemode that we've all be wanting", like seriously? if they wanted the gamemode to be a good randomizer, then i shouldn't be able to bring items, addons, or offerings as either side and let actual gambling with loadouts happen. if you want perk variety, you have more than enough opportunity to try a new loadout in the main game, but most people don't because they are too scared of actually experimenting because they might lose and bruise their fragile egos.
Hot take : balance landing a way better exhaustion perk than any other perks if u know how to use it correctly and one of the only exhaustion perks that can synergies with other exhaustion perks except sprintburst

The auto bloodweb should be programable so you can get specific addons or items you want without having to put the time in to manually do it.
E.g I always need survivor puddings but they're usually far out so the auto bw never gets them
This is probably the hottest take I've ever made: communication in this game needs to be completely reworked. Soloq is completely imbalanced and survive with friends gets a huge advantage because of communication.
Wraith is broken in 2v8. Uncloak speed is broken. I think this is making people think Wraith is much stronger than he is.
I think they should make empathy basekit for solo queue. Or a version of kindred basekit solo queue needs something to compete with swf
I fully disagree with too many perks. The constantly changing meta is sorta one of the things that keep the game alive and interesting for consistent players. I mean, it's prolly a big reason for Ur views as well, Ur builds. So, why would I want that taken away?
I believe that filters are cheating if you're using it to amplify a certain colour (usually red to see scratch marks and red stain). In my eyes it's exactly the same as that time modders were changing trappers traps to be bright pink making them stick out like a sore thumb.
the killer seeing the survivor items is needed because going against certain survivor squads with certain builds can be brutal.
bringing a build that requires the survivors being injured to a squad with 4 med kits is terrible and people forget sometimes the killer is supposed to be the dangerous one out of killer and survivors
Made for this was absolutely busted with For the people but with the new requirement that you need to be injured makes it way to situational
Hot take: Endurance should be an effect only used for anti-tunneling and not for perks or add-ons such as Made For This and Styptic Agent
hot take: 1 year (or maybe half a year) without new chapters but fixing everything wrong in the game and giving developers more time for more creative chapters and perks is really needed
Dbd has almost NO REAL REASON to have a survivor main besides cosmetics. What they need is to make every survivor have SOMETHING to seperate from the rest. I mean even if it’s the smallest thing, still give survivors a way to be different

There should be a bloodpoint incentive for killers or perks (both sides) that don't get played that often (Yes, we will see more Twins and Skull Merchants)
Because of the filters I have to have on my screen for medical reasons I cannot see ANYTHING during Nightfall. My SWF has to guide me around or leave me in a corner. There's medical reasons for filters. It's a shame people abuse them but its accessability

funfact is that i personally got penatly for kms on hook more than once. i mean ig it was because of that, i did that, no dc, returned to lobby and boom 5min ban. i also got, i think two times, penatly for being afk, i wanted to troll survivors with killer but after few minutes being afk game just kicked me out and i got penatly xD
I like that killers can see the survivors, dont switch your character last second, bring a cheap brown item and let the killer over think about it

my hot take is that chucky is a almost perfectly balanced killer for both sides he's amazing in chase but he's slow as shit and has no map pressure, i see him as a actually balanced version of spirit
Hot Take(s): Save The Best For Last is still a really good perk, it seems everyone is sleeping on it because it was nerfed, but the reason it was made overpowered is because BHVR buffed the general hit cooldown on killer by about 10%, which indirectly buffed Stbfl.
Clown’s power is like current Black Beard: it breaks the core mechanics of the game no matter how strong it is. Clowns power is for guaranteeing hits, and his percent add-ons only allow an easier time for that to happen.
M1 Killer is still fun.
There should be a killer without a power so people don’t have to stress about using one, and they can just play M1 killer.
There are perks that are just better versions of others. They could just buff said blatantly weaker perks instead.
Wraith is S tier in 2v8. Way better then Nurse or Blight

survivors should have base kit Unbreakable. I think it’ll create some strategic moments in the match where you need to decide when to fully recover on your own or not. Since killers now have base kit moris, you know, why not give something to survivors too?
Who the hell thinks Made for This is still really good? For endurance maybe, but if you’re trying to use it for the haste effect it’s laughable. I know this is a hot take but l really didn’t think the 3% was a huge deal. If it disabled when you had other haste effects present I think the perk would’ve been fine. But as it is now, it’s C-tier at best.
My hot take as a killer main: Survivors should be equipped No Mither as base kit. Deadlock should be base kit. All hooks should be scourge hooks when you take a scourge hook perk. Hex totems should be untouchable.
