Sniping Survivors with buffed Gearhead | Dead by Daylight

Frank’s Heart is the best out of the 4 add-ons dedicated to extending the range of the possessed chain that Pinhead can throw at Survivors. In this video, we pair it with the Fang and the new Gearhead (which reveals Survivors that hit great skill checks when it triggers) to snipe people in a very open map. Cool stuff. 😎

  1. Here are some Killer Perk Buff/Rework/Combination ideas!

    Beast Of Prey (Rework/Buff)

Current Effect: Upon gaining Bloodlust Tier I, you are granted the Undetectable Status Effect for as long as Bloodlust is active. Beast of Prey grants 30/40/50 % bonus Bloodpoints for actions in the Hunter category.

Rework: Whenever the killer is outside of a chase, they are granted a 6% movement speed increase until they enter a chase. Beast of Prey grants 80/90/100% bonus Bloodpoints for actions in the Hunter category.

    Hex: The Third Seal (Buff)

Current Effect: The last 2/3/4 Survivors hit with your Basic Attack and/or Special Attack suffer from the Blindness Status Effect. The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.

Buff: Along with the current effect of Hex: The Third Seal, the totem only becomes lit once at least 1 survivor becomes afflicted with the Blindness Status Effect. Additionally, when injuring and/or downing a survivor with Hex: The Third Seal, their vision and hearing are impaired for 5 seconds. Both of these effects persist as long as Hex: The Third Seal is active.

    Forced Penance (Buff)

Current Effect: Survivors who take a Protection Hit suffer from the Broken Status Effect for the next 60/70/80 seconds.

Buff: Survivors who take a Protection Hit now instead suffer from the Incapacitated Status Effect for the next 60/70/80 seconds.

    Mindbreaker/Fearmonger (Buff)

Current Effect: Whenever a Survivor is repairing a Generator, they suffer from the Blindness and Exhausted Status Effects. If the Survivor is already Exhausted, their Status Effect's timer will be paused. The Status Effect lingers for 3/4/5 seconds after the Survivor stops repairing.

Buff: The Blindness Status Effect now lingers for 8/9/10 seconds after survivors stop repairing a generator. Additionally, any addons/perks that inflict the Blindness Status Effects timers are also paused while a survivor repairs a generator.

    Overcharge (Buff)

Current Effect: Damaging a Generator overcharges it: The next Survivor interacting with it will be faced with a difficult Skill Check. Failing the Skill Check results in an additional Progression loss of 3/4/5%. Succeeding the Skill Check does not grant any bonus Progression.

Buff: Along with the current effect of this perk, Survivors who miss the difficult skill check are also blinded and deafened for 5 seconds. Additionally, the difficult skill check is even smaller.

This effect would work similarly to the survivor perk Blast Mine.

    Surge/Jolt (Buff)

Current Effect: When you put a Survivor into the Dying State with your Basic Attack, all Generators within 32 meters of you instantly explode and start regressing. Applies an immediate 8% Progression penalty. Jolt has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.

Buff: The cooldown for Surge/Jolt is removed. Additionally, this perk now also activates by putting a survivor into the dying state with special attacks.

    Oppression (Buff)

Current Effect: When damaging a Generator, up to 3 other random Generators also begin regressing. Triggers a difficult Skill Check if the selected Generators are currently being repaired. Oppression has a cool-down of 120/100/80 seconds.

Buff: Reduced cooldown from 80 seconds to 60 seconds. The cooldown also won't begin unless Oppression affects at least 1 other generator.

    Unrelenting (Buff)

Current Effect: The Cool-down on missed Basic Attacks is reduced by 20/25/30%.

Buff: Unrelenting now also works with most special attacks. This would include the following:

    Blights missed rush
    Pinhead's Summons Of Pain
    Nemesis's Tentacle Strike
    Legions Feral Frenzy
Pyramid Head's missed Rites of Judgment
    Oni's missed Demon Strike
    Hillbillies missed Chainsaw
    The Pigs missed Dash Attack
    Demogorgon's missed Shred

    Scourged Hooks (Buff)

Buff: Basement hooks are now also Scourged Hooks.

    Whispers (Buff)

Current Effect: You hear the sporadic whispers of the Entity whenever at least one Survivor is within 48/40/32 meters of your location.

Buff: Hooked survivors now don't activate Whispers. Additionally, on maps with multiple floors, Whispers will only activate on the floor the killer is currently on.

    Furtive Chase (Rework/Buff)

Current Effect: Each time you hook your Obsession, you gain 1 Token, up to a maximum of 2/3/4 Tokens: While in a Chase, your Terror Radius is reduced by 4 meters per accumulated Token. When a Survivor rescues the Obsession from the Hook, that Survivor will become the new Obsession.

Rework: Each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time, gain a token. Every token reduces the killer's terror radius inside and outside of a chase by 2/3/4 meters up to a maximum of 4 tokens (16 meters with all 4 tokens at level 3). The killer loses a token once each survivor is eliminated from the trial.

Unnerving Presence + Overwhelming Presence (Perk Combination)

    Current Effects:

Unnerving Presence: For all Survivors repairing, healing, or sabotaging within your Terror Radius: Skill Check Trigger odds are increased by 10%. Skill Check Success zones are reduced by 40/50/60%.

Overwhelming Presence: Survivors within your Terror Radius suffer from inefficiency. When using an Item, its Depletion rate is increased by 80/90/100 %.

    Coup De Grâce (Rework/Buff)

Current Effect: Each time a Generator is completed, Coup de Grâce grows in power. Gain 1 Token per Generator. Consume 1 Token to increase the distance of your next Lunge Attack by 70/75/80%.

Buff: Instead of being based on a token system, Coup De Grâce will now have a 30-second cooldown. However, this cooldown will only begin once the killer is outside of a chase, similar to how the survivor perk Diversion works (this is so that this perk will most likely not be used inside every chase, but still can be used more often throughout the match).

Bloodhound + Sloppy Butcher (Perk Combination)

    Current Effects:

Bloodhound: Pools of Blood are shown in bright red and can be tracked for 2/3/4 seconds longer than normal.

Sloppy Butcher: Wounds inflicted by Basic Attacks cause Survivors to suffer from the Haemorrhage and Mangled Status Effect:

Hex: Plaything (Quality Of Life Change)

Quality Of Life Change: Hex: Plaything now shows the number of survivors afflicted with the Oblivious Status Effect, similar to the perk Hex: The Third Seal.

  2. I thought about the range add-ons for about 2 minutes before I came to the same conclusion you did in the beginning of the video. I really think behavior would benefit from just hiring you in some capacity for design, or at least not huffing so much lead paint

  3. Not meaning to be rude about it but the way you're wife keeps moving her head annoys me because I can't focus on the otz while talking it is mainly just distracting personally just pointing out a pov.

  4. Honestly the synergy between Engineer's Fang and Gearhead is pretty nice. Gearhead procs, you fang them and injured them readying Gearhead again. I feel like Gearhead will be nice on killers who can injure survivors with the info like huntress. Nothing groundbreaking but still solid.
