In your example, for those that wonder but don't feel like doing the math, 1680 hours is, for 8 hours/day of playtime (which is rather generous), it would take 210 days, or roughly 7 months of playing, to get all perks on all killers
I wouldn't be against them flat out removing some perks that are just plain obsolete or that no one uses.
Dead by Daylight isn't the game most people grind for. If we wanted to grind that hard, we'd play Warframe – where we grind for what we want specifically.
I love your channel Space Coconut and yeah, the grind is unreal especially for new players.
I am used to the grind and i have everything I need to max out a killer quickly, a new player will have the worst experience
69x the bloodpoints should fix it lol
It took me 6 mil bp to get evry perk tier 3 on a character
Double BP weekend, stacks with bbq and the like. I think it would help a lot.
I feel compelled to notify viewers that this video contains a healthy dose of sarcasm.
I hope this will help individuals with a broken detector.
I regret prestiging my killers…
Nah dude throw on bbq and play doctor youll reach 106 million in no time
Relying on the community to teach new players is similar to giving a newborn to a porcupine mother with her babies and taping a picture of a baby porcupine to its face. I know people will help but there are going to be people that at the best give bad tips and fuck with them, and at the worst are outright toxic and hateful for the pure fact that they don't know how to play the game. Just… BHVR, easy bandage solution to progression? Move the costs of all items in the bloodweb by 1k. Will make prestiges (and by extension those fancy cosmetics you pump out!) cost less, while still leaving a sizeable grind to P3 or unlock all perks on all characters. If people want to play the game casually, make it quicker to get perks on one character. If people want to grind the living hell out of this game, then they still have their work cut out for them.
Did your numbers also take into account the items, addons and offerings you need to get on your way to the actual perks? And if so how did you calculate your average value for them?
Fun
even if the shrine of secrets had all the perks and were 2K each it'd be less grind than what we have now.
cough cough 100+ dollars if you buy all the charcter dlcs off steam….
um yeah who the fuck is gonna drop that much in one instance? 10-5 dollars might not seem like much untill you get some every few months and well the licensing agreements they keep hunting for just means we might see a dbd price of 200 dollars if you add all the dlcs alone
1:53 wtf was the point of putting that there
Why not just post the most recommended veteran YouTuber's video on their social media or the hours veterans spent on teaching people who to play?
As a new player, the grind has been demoralizing me a bit. I really like DBD, but man, grinding isn't fun.
2 million bloodpoints in and still no haunted grounds on my pig 🙁
I once spent 600, 000 BP (more than half the BP cap) to unlock Iron Will on one survivor, and it ended up being Iron Will tier 1, which is basically useless.
i personally don't really see the problem with this. i know perks are an important part of the game but they are what it they say they are: perks.
like, perks are a backup at best & can be a crutch at worse. many perks are extremely situational
You don't understand having most of the meta killer perks locked behind a pay or grindwall, or both is necessary to the game
/s
This is the truth.
