I've seen clips of Blight colliding into invisible hatch mid dash. Didn't know survivors could walk on it too. They gotta fix that.
I don't play anymore for obvious reasons but… I still watch content about the game and this was shocking did not even know this was possible.

This happened to me but someone DC’ed so hatch didn’t spawn at all but I knew where it was cause it walked directly over it

I was about to upload that, its been around since resident evil chapter, i started abusing it finding hatch at the start of the trial and knowing where it was lol, when you see your character getting higher and you hear iron footsteps it means u walked on it

Allow me to explain what is going on here.
The hatch is already spawned when the game starts but the renderer is disabled until you complete 3 gens. Now what it looks like to me is that the devs also forgot to disable the collision box for the hatch. I very much doubt you can pre-open it with a key as they likely have the trigger only active when the renderer is enabled.

its not so much "invisible" as people say its the devs doing the UE equivilent to Unitys
"hatchRef.renderer.enabled = (generatorsCompleted > 3)"
and then they call that line every time you complete a gen – I'm guessing
As a game dev myself its quite likely this is the case as that'd be how I myself would approuch such functionality

I’ve had that happen in a custom game
It's a bug. The hatch will spawn at the start of the match but is coded to be "invisible" until the match meets the requirements for it to "spawn" but its still TECHNICALLY there which is why you can run on top of it.
Fuck why you have to make a video about it…..now every one is gonna know and its gonna get patched

I've been using this method to find hatch without map since the first time i played this game (around 2018 when spirit is the new killer, that time rainbow map able to locate hatch before it spawns, and i dont really use it that much cause map spawn has it own fixed location), my friend who played since 2016 teach me this, i thought this was common fact……
