  1. Just dont make me slug you, same reason why killers hated boil over changes, it made them slug, nobody likes it, so dont play in a way that enforces it, if you dont want to see it in your game.

  2. The only time I've found slugging boring was when the Killer just left and downed all of the Survivors. Like, this dude was literally downing people, camping the area to prevent any healing, and forced everyone to just bleed out. No hooks were made. Other than that, I don't believe slugging is a real thing. If you got two Survivors in a single chase, then yeah, try to get two downs. That second Survivor has chosen to be the one who will either distract the Killer long enough for the downed Survivor to heal or attempt to lead the Killer away so someone else can rescue the downed Survivor. If you stay close to a chase already in progress, you have told the Killer, "Hey, feel free to drop everything and come after me."

  3. Slugging is a probably the lesser of the “3 evils” (compared to camping and tunneling )

considering it can give a second chance if played against right with a fairly decent team

Tbh I started slugging before it was popular just so I didn’t end up tunnel camp every match…

  4. Survivors cause camping and slugging majority of the time
Killers camping because the other survivors are running around the hook is their fault
If the killer is slugging, it’s probably because the survivors are grouped up or disrespecting the fact that the killer got a down/chase nearby their objective that they decided to do
Slugging only snowballs and wins someone the game if the survivors play poorly, yes even against Twins/Oni

  5. Being slugged is less boring than being hooked. People who scorn slugging for being boring are just annoyed that they're losing due to slugging.
I think that slugging adds depth to the game, since it gives the Killer a choice upon downing a survivor.

The only bad thing about slugging is that survivors don't have a way to speed up the bleed out process, allowing killers to waste up to 4 min of people's time. When you're hooked, you can try to kobe then fail the skill checks and you're out.

  6. It's because the survivors objectives are dull and boring and when your slugged you can do nothing but heal and wait for your teammate at least if your on a generator or some other objectives your progressing the game

  7. Slugging is one of those weird cases where I actually understand the hatred for that way of playing. As opposed to tunneling, you're kept in the game for as long as the killer deems it. Especially if you dont have Unbreakable/Mither/Soul Guard. Sitting on the floor with 3 other people, either waiting for some big play on the last survivors part or for the killer to pick you up. Which the killer could easily just sit there and watch as you bleed out. In that case, slugging is worse in terms of sportsmanship than Tunnelling/Tea-Bagging.

But in the case of the killer just leaving you on the ground while you're third hook, literally why are you complaining? Like, it genuinely is just a chance to keep playing. How is that "Sweaty"?

DBD player brainrot bogfles the mind sometimes.

  8. I think when people discuss these sorts of things, I feel like they're just talking past each other.

When somebody complains about camping and tunneling, a majority of the time I hear the worst case scenarios being complained about. Like camping at 5 gens with Bubba or something. On the other hand, people defending those things are defending the least problematic cases of it, such as camping at the last gen.

This is one of those topics. Most people, including myself, I dont imagine being against slugging as a tactic. I just hate the most stupid examples of it. I hate being left for 4 minutes on the ground with no intention of anybody being hooked.

In fact, I've only ever disconnected from 2 games intentionally in thousands of hours of DbD: once against a trapper where somehow literally all 3 of my team mates got hooked or trapped in like literally 20 to 30 seconds, leaving me solo at 5 gens.

The only other time I intentionally disconnected was when Mori spamming used to exist, and I had a Freddy slug me and the last surv just to do that over and over. Needless to say I didn't feel like wasting several minutes just to watch this guy spamming left click. <— this is a perfect example of why I feel like people hate slugging.

I dont know, I just hate how it seems like whenever somebody complains about something being "unfun," anybody on the opposing side just latches onto that fact to try to make them feel "entitled" or whatever, instead of just acknowledging a part of the game that's quite honestly boring.

I just feel like people should try to do better jobs with understanding the complaints made about these sorts of things instead of just writing off anybody who disagrees.

  9. My only issue with slugging is when they slug for a 4k. I wanna be out of the game asap. What does me bleeding out on the ground do. If I DC I would save time as opposed to like a fucking 4 minute bleed out on the ground. Other than that I agree with ur takes on slugging. It isn't that bad and keeps you in the game

  10. For me personally Slugging is the worse of the 3 and what I'll always hate the most. Why? Well for one it's exploiting the base mechanics of the game that a survivor can't pick themselves up and having perks isn't a excuse because not everyone has the perks and kinda sucks your required to run something like Unbreakable to fix this then you running Unbreakable is "OP' and "unfair" and "toxic". Also it takes forever to bleed out so yeah being on the ground 10 minutes and hardcore sluggers will just slug a entire team then let them bleed out because there's zero you can do about it, getting picked up and hooked is "letting them just reset for free!!!" Finally with the hatch change slugging to get the 4k is extra scummy making it literally impossible for the final person to even have a chance at the hatch unless they can invade the killer for 10 minutes. So at least with camping/tunneling it's a quick death or you can just give up and move on to the next match with slugging it's like nah slow and painful and there's nothing you can do. I don't expect you to agree but you asked and that's why for me personally I hate it more then anything.

  11. I never hated being slugged more i hate someone being tunnled out at 4 or 5 gens with 4 slowdowns on top. I think the moments were people hate slugging is either on a one hit killer smashing down the whole team early on = no blood points or either at the end game when 2 people are left.

  12. 1) As a survivor in dying state you literately can’t play the game. You are completely helpless and must rely on your team to save you. Similarly to hooking but that is an objective of the killer so I mean you can’t be upset at them fulfilling their goals.
    2) Only if the killer slugs so much that it prevents the game from progressing for either the killer (ie not hooking anybody until all players are downed to get a 4k in only 4 hooks) or the survivors who now have to one by one trade in hopes somebody will be able to save 2 people before going down.
    3) Slugging actually cancels a lot of game play. If you don’t pick up, you can’t go for a save as a survivor. It is similar to a bubba face camp. You are just out of the game because one player says they don’t want to play other than to kill one or two players and progress.

I think slugging can definitely be a great strat if needed. If you over slug your a d*ck. I have seen way too many games where the killer will slug everybody and then just wait until our timers ran out (holding the game hostage from the killers end). But this is rare especially on PC. As a 70/30 survivor/killer player I don’t see anything wrong with slugging as long as it doesnt just lead to an endless loop situation. Bothers me as much as slugging the second to last player so you can guarantee a 4k. It isn’t a bad thing because you can play that way but its kind of a cheap move is all just like the key was to the hatch before the PC update (Keys have not changed in mobile). Well that’s just my thoughts. See ya in the fog!

  13. Well when a nurse slugs and gets a 4k out of it, it really is annoying. Yes unbreakable is a thing but it's unrealistic to expect me to use it all the time. I think it just comes down to my teammates being bad and not able to deal with slugging.
