This Match Feels Impossible In Dead By Daylight

Skull Merchant has a bad reputation as being a very hard to counter killer in Dead By Daylight, so what happens if you take killer with the highest win rate and put them on the most favourable map in the game. Can you win this as a survivor in solo queue?

  1. I see skull merchant as a trap oriented killer. Its good idea if she tries to "trap" gen to have someone on the team (probably you on solo queue) to disable her drones. Same as hag, you can crouch to not get spoted, or stand still if you see the scan approach (it will be white to show you are immune). Skull merchant is not notified like other trappers that her drone was disabled, she only gets notified if you fail. If she tries to lock on you in loop, holding W is a good strat.

  2. Vecna has the newest highest killrate as per BHVR statistics. Tho I could be wrong on that since I don't know if they've updated this.

Topside area is called the Tower side (Dungeon Side and Tower Side)

Forgotten Ruins in general is a macro-management killer's wet dream. Knight, Skull Merchant, Singularity, etc… thrive in this map because you can choose to neglect top or bottom and then setup eventually the survivors WILL have to go to either top or bottom.

How to counter? pray the killer fucks up, it sucks but it's true. Smart players will lock this shit down harder than a Vault. I know some comments talk about how to play around Merchant's drones but tbh that is completely irrelevant because there are so many factors like perks, skill of killer and survivors, and as previously mentioned Forgotten Ruins is just really damn good for controlling killers.

TLDR: some nitpicks about stats and naming. There is no realistic counter beyond pray your teammates are good or that the killer makes a blunder to take advantage of.

  3. I’ve only played against 1 SM and they were really chill; just let me disable drones and farm BP. But on the rare occasions I’ve played as her, one thing I remember is that, similar to trapper and hag, having someone on the team who just keeps shutting her drones down is a huge asset. It’s really annoying to have to keep re-deploying drones, especially when you can’t find the person doing it

  4. skully isnt that hard nowaday. just crouch when you have to pass through drone area. i promise if you start doing gen you will be still safe. just remember to crouch in drone area.

  5. I haven't played SM on this map because i hate this map, but SM is easy to play around aslong as you know how her drones work, crouch when they aren't full activated and if it's fully activated just crouch or stand still when it is about to detect you.

  6. SM isn't like….that awful, they just need to remove the verticality of her drones coverage and she'll be fine……..here come the comments telling me I'm fucking delusional and mental for saying, "Skull Meechant isn't awful"

  7. the only time ive ever beaten skull merchant on forgotten ruins was in a 4 stack. we split gens throughout and crouched through drones and somehow still won with a 2k
